this is the prison door that i made. Just some quick texture, bump mapping. I was impressed w/ the results because i used very basic techniques. |

| A very interesting day... to start off, there was a high number of absence on the day. And while we were walking to the subway... we lost ppl one by one. To be honest, I won't blame them for not coming to the field trip because they thought it wouldn't be worth it... but.. tsk tsk... dwayne. He faked sliding the card when entering the subway and went back home!!!!!! omfg, that's much more worse than just admitting that they don't wanna go and not going! *hates dwayne forever* but anyways, Choe's work was really interesting to me since I always had a fascination for robotic stuff. But it was a pity that there were only 3 works on display... maybe 4, including the small one that seemed like it was NOT on display. After Choe's gallery, the professor and the five of us just wondered around chelsea entering galleries... riding tea cups with clone babie dolls on them? I gotta say that was pretty trippy. Although I was pretty much tired when we got back, I don't think it was that bad since there were some cool stuff on display at chelsea galleries. |

| Charlex studio... It was different from any CG studio that I ever imagined. I used to always think that SPecial Effects studio would have workers working in their own studios but these guys were living like they were at home... cozy. As the chair of CHarlex studio explained the process of creating the short, "One Rat Short", I understood how much creating a high quality CG short film required so much effort and man power. 3 years for a short... that seems pretty damn long to me. To be honest, Charlex studio wasn't so appealing to me content wise of what kind of commercial art they do when I really desire to work for a game graphics studio, it seemed like a nice and comfortable place to work at. |
